Is ID Verification Safe?
Your safety is our priority. Our ID verification process is securely managed through Stripe, a trusted payment provider. Stripe Identity ensures your ID is processed safely, with all data securely stored on their servers.
For your protection, please avoid sending ID documents via email, as we’re unable to process or review them that way.
Is ID Verification Mandatory?
ID verification isn’t required for all users, but it may be requested in certain situations, such as confirming your payment method or verifying your use case.
As part of using Webshare, you agree to complete ID verification if needed to ensure compliance with our policies. If verification isn’t completed when requested, your account may be temporarily suspended until the process is finished.
When Are You Required to Verify Your ID?
We may request ID verification in the following cases:
Payment Method Confirmation: To ensure the security and validity of your payment details.
Validate Activities for Rate Limited Pages: If you’re sending a large number of requests to rate-limited websites. For more details, see: Rate-Limits for Static Residential, Datacenter, and Verified Proxies.
Additionally, ID verification is required when registering as an Affiliate to enable secure payouts via PayPal.
