If you have proxies from multiple locations and want to focus on a specific region, filtering by country makes your list much easier to manage. This is especially useful on the Rotating Residential plan, which gives you access to proxies from all available locations, even when you only intend to use a few of them.
How to Filter by Country
Go to the Proxy List page on your Webshare account.
Click on the 'Countries' option.
Select the countries you wish to view from the list and click 'Save Changes.' The page will refresh to show only proxies from the selected country.
To export a list containing only proxies from your selected countries, click the download button, press refresh, then download the file.
Filtering by country in your username
Once your list is filtered, proxies viewed through the Backbone Connection include the country code in the username. For example, *****-ca-1, where ca indicates Canada.
You can also use this directly: add the country code to the username field in your setup to pull proxies from a specific country (for example, us for the USA or gb for the UK).
Filtering by state, city, ZIP code and ASN
On the Rotating Residential plan, you can narrow your proxies down further than country. Filters work one at a time: pair your country with one of state, city, or ZIP code. State and ZIP code are available for United States targeting only.
ASN targeting works differently: it runs across the whole proxy pool and can't be combined with a country at all.
Selection is done through the Endpoint Generator, and your choice is reflected in your username:
State:
username-us-state_arizona-rotateCity:
username-us-city_houston-rotateZIP code:
username-us-postalcode_77001-rotateASN:
username-asn_3-rotate
Note that the ZIP code field maps to postalcode_ in the username, not zip_.
