What types of Static Residential Proxies do you have?

Updated today

Our Static Residential Proxies use IP addresses allocated by residential ISPs such as AT&T, Comcast, Sprint, RCN, and Cox Communications. Because these IPs are hosted on servers rather than home devices, you get residential ISP authenticity combined with datacenter-level speed and reliability.

We offer three tiers based on exclusivity:

Premium Proxies

These are shared proxies that provide excellent value for most use cases. They maintain a static IP address by default, giving you consistent access without unexpected changes.

  • Sharing: Shared with other Webshare users

  • Best for: General browsing, testing, light account management

  • Flexibility: Add Auto-Refresh to your plan or use Replace Proxies to rotate IPs when needed

Private Proxies

These proxies are shared with a very limited number of users: between 0 and 2 other customers. This reduced sharing means less risk of IP reputation issues from other users' activities.

  • Sharing: 0-2 other users maximum

  • Best for: Moderate-sensitivity tasks, account management on platforms with shared-IP detection

  • Flexibility: Static by default; add Auto-Refresh or use Replace Proxies for rotation

Dedicated Proxies

These proxies are exclusively assigned to you. No other Webshare customer will ever use the same IP address while it's in your account.

  • Sharing: None - 100% exclusive to you

  • Best for: High-value account management, sensitive operations, maximum control over IP reputation

  • Flexibility: Static by default; add Auto-Refresh or use Replace Proxies for rotation

Proxy Detection

All three tiers use IPs from residential ISPs, so the ASN will reflect a legitimate residential provider. However, because these proxies are server-hosted (not running on actual home devices), some IP checker websites may classify them as "datacenter" or "hosting." This is expected behavior and doesn't affect how target websites evaluate your traffic. They primarily check the ASN, which will show a residential ISP.
