The locations you can choose depend on your plan. The quickest way to see them is in your dashboard, before you buy or while editing your plan.
Plan | Where to check locations | Location level you can choose |
Proxy Server (Datacenter) | Plans & Pricing → Select Proxy Server → Choose Proxy locations | Country only |
Static Residential (ISP) | Plans & Pricing → Select Static Residential → Choose Proxy locations | Country only |
Rotating Residential | Plans & Pricing → Rotating Residential → 195 countries | Country, plus state, city or ZIP code via the Endpoint Generator after the purchase |
Proxy Server and Static Residential
You can see every country currently available for your plan type on the Plans & Pricing page.
Go to Plans & Pricing.
Select the proxy type you're interested in. If you already have a plan, click Edit plan under your current subscription.
Scroll down to the Choose Proxy locations section.
The Available locations list on the left shows every country you can pick. Use the search bar to check a specific country.
Click Add next to a country, then enter how many proxies you want there in Selected locations on the right.
Availability differs between plan types. For example, some countries are not covered by Proxy Server plans. If a country you need isn't listed, check whether it's available on Static Residential or Rotating Residential.
Already have proxies? You can move them to another country at any time. See How can I change the country of the proxies?
Rotating Residential
A Rotating Residential plan gives you access to all available locations automatically: 195 countries. There's nothing to select at checkout.
Before you buy, see every available country on the Plans & Pricing page:
Go to Plans & Pricing.
Select the Rotating Residential plan.
At the top of the page, under the plan name, click 195 countries to see the full list of available locations.
[ADD SCREENSHOT HERE: the 195 countries link under the Rotating Residential plan name]
After you buy, you can also check countries here:
Open the Endpoint Generator in your dashboard.
In the location settings on the left, open the Country field. It lists every country you can connect through, or you can leave it on Worldwide.
Type a country name to check whether it's available. Once a country is selected, you can also open the City field to see the cities available there.
You can also see which countries appear in your proxy list by going to the Proxy List page and clicking Countries. See Filtering Proxies by Country.
You choose the location when you connect, using the Endpoint Generator. Rotating Residential is the only plan that supports targeting below country level:
Country: any of the 195 countries, or Worldwide
City: available with any single country
State and ZIP code: United States only
ASN: targets a specific ISP network; can't be combined with a country
You can pair a country with one of state, city or ZIP code, but not several at once.
Can I choose a city or state?
Not on Proxy Server or Static Residential plans. On these plans, proxies are assigned by country only. We don't offer city or state filtering when you buy, edit your plan or replace proxies.
This means you can't:
Pick proxies from a specific city or state at checkout
Request a city or state when editing your plan's locations
Replace proxies by city or state (replacements work by country, ASN or IP range)
If you need city or state-level targeting, a Rotating Residential plan is the option that supports it. See the section above.
Why isn't a country listed?
A country with no proxies available right now doesn't appear in the location list at checkout. Availability can change, as stock in some locations runs low due to technical issues, maintenance or high demand.
If a country disappears after you've bought proxies there, your proxies may become unallocated. You can reassign them to another country free of charge, or wait until the original location is back in stock. See Unallocated Proxies.
Why does my proxy show a different city or country?
IP location checkers each use their own database, and these update at different times. A new IP can take a while to show the correct location everywhere. Your proxy list shows a Country Confidence level for each proxy, so you can see how reliably it maps to its country.
To replace proxies with low Country Confidence automatically, free of charge:
Go to the Settings page in your account.
Open the Replace Proxies tab.
Select the checkbox for Proxy has Low Country Confidence.
Click Save Changes.
This doesn't use your Manual Replacements. Keep in mind it may reduce the number of proxies available in some countries, and replaced proxies can't be restored. See What can I do if the proxy country doesn't match the one on Webshare?
